Discouragement opens the door for failure in our lives!
It gnaws at our faith and allows fear enter our minds. But God tells us; even commands us to have courage!
“ Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9
I have watched as many strong and thriving Christians have been set back and lose spiritual ground because of discouragement. The enemy knows once you’re living in discouragement; he can ultimately defeat you! He brings out the big guns from his arsenal; fear, doubt, resentment, jealousy, discontentment, depression, and barrages our minds with these fiery and inflammatory darts!
We fail to utilize the helmet, the breastplate, the sword, the truth, the peace, and let down our shield of faith which quenches every fiery dart in his arsenal,
Discouragement often comes in guise of disappointment! Many times we don’t understand why some things are happening and fall
prey to disappointment; but if we trust in God and keep his commandment to be encouraged; he will show himself strong on our behalf; his presence shall encamp itself around us.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11
